Exciting developments continue on the A6 Randalstown - Castledawson Dualling Scheme with live traffic entering the new dual carriageway between M22 - Toome for the first time
A6 M22 - Toome Opens - Access to Moneynick Road
The first phase of the A6 Randalstown to Castledawson Dualling Scheme is nearing completion and will provide a welcome boost for road users as live traffic enters a 7km stretch of the new dual carriageway between Randalstown and Toome from 9pm Sunday 4 August 2019, ahead of schedule.
As part of the phased traffic management plan, traffic will still be merged into one lane in each direction in the vicinity of the M22 Junction 3. In this area there will be a 50mph speed restriction for a distance of several hundred metres, after which traffic will have unrestricted use of the new dual carriageway.
Following the transfer of traffic to the new A6 dual Carriageway local traffic will be able to access the B183 Moneynick Road via the diversion routes illustrated below - Staffordstown Road / A6 Dual Carriageway - Drumderg Roundabout
B183 Moneynick Road - 2 way traffic lights
2 WAY TRAFFIC LIGHTS - MONEYNICK ROAD
The B183 Moneynick Road will have temporary two-way traffic lights n place for a period of 4.5 weeks from Wednesday 7 August 2019 between Derrygowan Road - Randalstown off slip . To facilitate tie-in works to the existing road network
B183 Moneynick Road - Full Closure
FULL CLOSURE - B183 MONEYNICK ROAD - 3 DAYS
The B183 Moneynick Road will be temporarily closed for a period of 3 days from 6am Wednesday 28 August 2019 - 10pm Friday 30 August 2019, to facilitate the final surfacing works at the M22 Junction 3 Roundabout. Local access will be maintained.
Toome Bypass B18 - Night Closure
FULL NIGHT CLOSURE - TOOME BYPASS B18
The Toome Bypass will be Fully Closed in both directions from Brecart Roundabout - Creagh Roundabout for 1 night 8pm Thursday 22 August 2019 - 6am Friday 23 August 2019, to facilitate the installation of a temporary roundabout and a change to the areas contra-flow system, transferring all traffic to the Westbound carriageway to travel in one lane in each direction.
B183 Moneynick Road - Final Surfacing - Drumderg Roundabout
FULL CLOSURE - B183 MONEYNICK ROAD
The B183 Moneynick Road will be temporarily closed at the Drumderg Roundabout approach from 10pm Friday 30 August - 6am Monday 2 September 2019 to facilitate final surfacing works and tie-in works at the Drumderg Roundabout. Local access will be maintained via the Randalstown B183 approach, which will be temporarily opened in both directions.
Annaghmore Road (S) - 2 way traffic lights - postponed
2 WAY TRAFFIC LIGHTS - ANNAGHMORE ROAD (S)
The Annaghmore Road (S) will have temporary two-way traffic lights in place for a period of 2 weeks from 19 August 2019. To facilitate preparation works for final surfacing in the area.
Bellshill Road & Annaghmore Road (S) - Temporary Closures
TEMPORARY CLOSURE - BELLSHILL ROAD & ANNAGHMORE ROADS (S) - 1 WEEK
The Bellshill Road, Annaghmore Road and Link Road (S) will be temporarily closed in mid/late August for several days on a period of a week, to facilitate final surfacing works in the area. Local access will be maintained.

The final surfacing works, road marking and accommodation access works are due to take place on the Derrygowan and Aghaloughan Roads in the next 4 - 6 weeks.
Ballynafey / Ranaghan Road - Final Surfacing
FULL CLOSURE OF BALLYNAFEY RD / RANAGHAN RD
The final surfacing works are due to take place on the Ballynafey & Ranaghan Roads from Monday 2 September 2019 for 5 days, both roads will be closed . Local access will be maintained.
