The most important thing to the Graham Farrans JV is to keep our people, supply chain, customers & our stakeholders safe in line with the guidance of the local Government & Health Authorities.

A statement about the Covid-19 Pandemic

In accordance with government guidelines to provide continuity of service for critical projects, the Graham Farrans Joint Venture will be continuing works on the A6 Randalstown – Castledawson Dualling Scheme. Our workforce have been classified as key workers by DFI and have been granted permission to travel to and from site.

The Government have made it clear that construction and manufacturing are two key sectors that must continue working in the provision of essential service.

Critical projects set to continue include;

• Supporting health, emergency and security services
• Maintaining water and sewerage
• Maintaining utilities and telecoms
• Maintaining transport links
• Supporting essential distribution and logistics networks

Actions we are taking to follow the Government’s guidance for reducing the spread of Covid-19 while continuing to support our customers and supply chain during this difficult period.

Working from home, our office-based people now work from home and avoid unnecessary travel. Thanks to the very latest technology, our teams can seamlessly share information and meet virtually in order to continue functioning effectively.

Social Distancing We have rigorous procedures in place to ensure everyone on site follows these measures, which very much falls within our existing H&S protocols governing safe site activity and will be enforced as such.

The need to work two metres apart requires cooperation and understanding, and our teams are working closely with supply chain partners and other stakeholders to agree practices and programmes so we continue to operate in a safe environment

Facilities We have staggered the use of the facilities.

Communication Holding regular briefings on the importance of hand washing and hygiene, as well as intensifying our daily cleaning regime.

Cleaning We are ensuring door handles and other communal touch points are cleaned down a number of times each day. Providing additional hand sanitiser; alongside the basics of widely available hand sanitiser, hygiene guidance and clear signage.

Pre work validation of personal health Encourage members of the site team to notify us of any changes to their health and to self-isolate immediately if anyone feels/displays any of the symptoms.

 We will continue to heed the very latest Government advice. This will be monitored daily and procedures and messaging adapted immediately to any changes that are required.
